History

Prigo is a family company. It all began in the early 70’s, when Igor-Izidor Pristavec started a transport business.

He made his first transport vehicle by himself - it was a truck remade from a bus.

In the year 1989, he and his wife have registered the company under the name PRIGO, d.o.o. The name derives from the beginning of his last name (Pristavec) and first name (Igor).

At first, the company was located in Podpeč, where there was also a head office. After three years the transport service has expanded, and therefore created a need for better-suited location.

In the year 1994 the company moved to Brezovica pri Ljubljani.

Main Turning Points of the Company

	1973: Igor-Izidor Pristavec starts a transport business.
	1989: Establishment of the company Prigo
	1998: Start-up of the building “Prigo”
	1999: The opening of the centre Prigo, which was combined of: a service workshop for cargo vehicles, a car wash, a store with spare part, and a bar named Prigo.
	2002: A Mercedes-Benz license was obtained. Prigo becomes authorized service provider for Mercedes-Benz cargo vehicles and vans. Start-up of roadworthiness tests which are performed by company A1, investment management, joint stock company. Start-up of inspections and repairs of tachographs, which takes place in Avtotaho & Števci Okorn, a sole trader.
	2004: Prigo becomes an Authorized Service Provider for Mercedes-Benz vans.
	2005: Opening of the coffee shop Mostiščar located in shopping centre in Podpeč.
	2006: Opening of the technical store Prigo in Podpeč.
	2008: Transport and logistics department relocate to Vrhnika. Opening of the new warehouse facilities. Opening of the first computer-controlled performance test station for Mercedes-Benz vehicles in Slovenia. Prigo extends its activities to the car sale. Opening of the wine shop in Podpeči.
	2009: Prigo becomes an authorized Evo Bus service (Mercedes-Benz and Setra Bus service): OmniPlus service. Prigo becomes an authorized MIchelin seller.
	2010: Mercedes-Benz car factory gives us certification to an authorized service provider for Mercedes-Benz personal cars.
